What We Move Across Tennessee | TNT Moving USA

A good mover tells you what it is built for. This page lays out the moves TNT Moving USA handles every week, how our crews protect your home, and the jobs where we will tell you plainly that someone else is the better fit.

Where We Work

Our crews and trucks run out of 6430 Charlotte Pike in West Nashville. We move homes and offices across Nashville and Middle Tennessee, including Belle Meade, Green Hills, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, West Meade, Bellevue, Sylvan Park, The Nations, Brentwood, Franklin, Hermitage, Donelson and Madison, and we run long-distance moves anywhere inside Tennessee.

The Moves We Do Every Week

Houses, including large family homes

Two- to five-bedroom homes are the core of what we do. Larger homes get a three- or four-person crew so the job finishes the same day.

Apartments, condos and high-rises

High-rise moves in Nashville come with building rules: elevator reservations, loading-dock windows and the paperwork the building asks for. We schedule around those rules and pad the elevator and hallways before the first piece of furniture comes out.

Long-distance moves within Tennessee

Nashville to Knoxville, Chattanooga, Memphis, Jackson, Clarksville or Murfreesboro.

Offices and small businesses

Office suites, medical and professional offices, and retail spaces. We can move after hours or over a weekend so your business does not lose a workday.

Packing and unpacking

Full packing, partial packing of fragile rooms like the kitchen, or just boxes and materials. Every box is labeled by room so unloading goes fast.

Storage

When your closing date and your move-out date do not line up, we can hold your belongings and deliver them when the new place is ready.

Emergency, same-day and after-hours moves

We answer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Same-day, late-night and early-morning moves are scheduled at our regular rates.

How We Protect Your Home and Furniture

• Walkthrough first. In person or by video, before your price is final.
• Floors and doorways. Floor runners, door-jamb pads, corner guards and banister covers go down before anything moves.
• Furniture. Every piece is padded and wrapped.
• High-value items. Art, pianos and safes are wrapped and their condition is written down before loading.
• Custom crating. We build crates for art and large mirrors that should not travel in a box.

Jobs Where We Will Point You Elsewhere

Saying no to the wrong job is part of doing the right ones well. We will tell you up front if your move needs:

• Museum or gallery work that requires climate-controlled fine-art transport
• Moving hazardous materials such as fuel, propane tanks, paint thinners or chemicals, which no household mover is allowed to carry
• Data-center or server-room relocation that needs certified IT technicians
• Moving cars, boats or other vehicles

Items That Get Extra Care

Some belongings need more than a moving blanket. Tell us about these during the walkthrough so the crew arrives with the right materials:

• Pianos and gun safes, which need extra hands, straps and a planned path out of the house
• Artwork, large mirrors and glass tabletops, which we can custom crate
• Flat-screen TVs and electronics, wrapped and kept upright on the truck
• Antiques and heirloom furniture, wrapped with written condition notes before they leave your home
• Washers, dryers and refrigerators, which should be disconnected and drained before moving day

What Cannot Go on the Truck

For safety, and under federal rules for moving companies, we cannot load flammable or hazardous items. Plan to move or dispose of these yourself:

• Gasoline, propane tanks, lighter fluid and other fuels
• Paint, paint thinner, pool chemicals and cleaning solvents
• Ammunition, fireworks and aerosol cans in bulk
• Perishable food and open liquids

Keep cash, jewelry, medications, passports and important papers with you rather than on the truck. If you are unsure about an item, ask us before moving day.

Pricing, Plainly

Local moves are $250 per hour for two movers and a truck, or $350 per hour for three, with no charge for travel time, fuel, elevators or the first flight of stairs. Flat rates are available too. See how our moving prices work for the full breakdown.
